Saint Francis of Assisi Spoke Dodo

A little-known fact is that St Francis of Assisi also spoke Dodo language. On a visit to Mauritius, he is seen to be holding a conciliabule with a number of birds, including the dodo. This is recorded in the painting shown here, by the world famous artist Anon, which is on the wall of the St François d’Assises church in the town of Pamplemousses, in the north of the island.

C’est un fait peu-connu que Saint François d’Assise parlait couramment la langue du dodo.
