How honourable are Honour-Killings?

In 2013, Banaz Mahmood was murdered. They finally made a film for British television which will be shown on ITV neXt week. I wrote this poem in 2013.

Banaz Mahmood fell in love
but father did not approve.
She’s brought shame
to our good name
he said.
How can we show our face
In a public place?
The boil had to be lanced
The dishonour must be cleansed!
So the Mahmoods
they paid
two hoods
to reclaim their honour.
punish the whore
tear her apart
rape her
put broken glass in her … parts.
And then kill her!
Only thus
can you wash away the shame
and rescue our good name
from the dust!
