Haste and Speed

--

Travelling in zigzag

The tortoises in Jahilia

Are quite peculiar

Unlike their cousins in Normalia

.

They ambulate with grace and speed

Perhaps it’s their dna or their feed

Conceivably some wild weird weed

.

However those fleety testudines

Never proceed in straight lines

As if gagged or drunk on strong wines.

.

They move along in spirals and zigzags

Like merry playsome wags

Avoiding unexpected snags.

.

Though three or more times as fast

They’re never up to the task

In any race they always come last
