A Poem for Foodies
I dislike broccoli spinach and kale
Can’t digest ’em even when full of ale
Hate yogurt, said to be good for your gut
Can’t swallow beet or sweet potato
The sight of garlic or turmeric induce colic
As does the infamous woke-fare tofu
But they’re superfood, they’re good for you
..
Love Scottish tablets, Mars bars fried in batter
Bacon, sausages, swimming in fat or butter
I don’t but oughta despise pork pies,
Crave for curries followed by Indian pastries
Chocolates, Belgian, Herschey or Swiss
But they say give ’em a miss
They should be taboo, they’re bad for you
But I like lobster, caviare, adore asparagus
They’re superfood, keep you hearty and healthy
But sadly they’re only for the wealthy
And not for the likes of us
